John J. Cush, MD is currently the Director of Clinical Rheumatology for the Baylor Research Institute and Professor of Medicine and Rheumatology at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. 

Dr. Cush received his medical training from St. George’s University School of Medicine (Grenada, West Indies), Coney Island Hospital (Brooklyn, NY) and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School (Dallas, TX).  Dr. Cush has authored two textbooks on rheumatology and rheumatoid arthritis.  He has published more than 120 journal articles and numerous book chapters on topics that include rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthropathies, adult-onset Still’s disease, biologic therapies, drug safety and nutraceuticals.   His prime clinical and research interests include drug safety, biologic therapies, rheumatoid pregnancy and medical education.  He past editor of the ACR Drug Safety Quarterly and now serves as associate editor for the Journal of Rheumatology and is editor-in-chief of RheumNow.Com.  Dr. Cush the author and co-editor of the online rheumatology textbook,

He is a member of the Board of Trustees for St. Georges University and is a member of the Board of Admissions. He also serves as a volunteer for the American College of Rheumatology and the Arthritis Advisory Committee of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. 

Dr. Cush will talk about how clinical research has shaped our world in providing medications for arthritis diseases.  He'll expound on what's on the horizon and how you can help make a difference.
